Christmas returns to the Cretan Club!

On Sunday the 12th of December the Cretan Brotherhood opened its doors to members and friends for its annual Christmas Party! Families flocked to annual occasion which saw hall fill up with members of all ages for the first time in many months.

Souvlakia platters and refreshments were available to fend off the crowd’s hunger, and a huge jumping castle entertained the smaller kids (and reminded some bigger kids that their knees aren’t what they used to be)

The Melbourne sun came out for the first time in months which helped over 80 guests enjoy another great function at the club and a great turn out of youngsters kept Santa very busy as he handed out presents to everyone who made his nice list! Thankfully – no Cretan children were on the naughty list this year!

Although the function was advertised to run from 1pm to 4pm many members stayed back to enjoy each other’s company. A mega game of downball broke out down the side of the hall in the glorious Melbourne sun and new President Milton Stamatakos rounded up guests to bring the dance floor to life with many members dusting off their dancing shoes and enjoying a lively sirto!

For as much as everything was the same, the community welcomed some change – many younger members returned to the hall with lockdown growth spurts ,and a few young families returned with some fresh faces enjoying their first Cretan Brotherhood Christmas.

From the whole Cretan Brotherhood, we wish all our members and friends a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
