Members come together for Vasilopita
On Sunday the 9th of February, the Cretan Brotherhood Hall was officially opened for the year with the cutting of the Vasilopita.
Father Athanasios of the Brunswick Parish Agios Vasilios blessed the hall for the year to kick off the event before patrons were treated to a traditional Cretan lunch.

Entertainment for the day included a performance from the Pre-Senior dance group.
Attendees were impressed by the group’s skilful φιγούρες and professional demeanour thanking the dancers with warm applause.
Around 70 people enjoyed the lunch and afternoon tea at the Cretan Brotherhood with families well represented across the generational spectrum with youth, adults and elderly all out in good numbers.
